Reminder: paid research exchange available to all researchers from Full COST member countries

Please be advised that the Action may provide funding for internships (Short-Term Scientific Missions, STSMs) to all researchers from Full COST member countries regardless of their COMFA status. That means if the researcher is not a member of the Action, but is affiliated with an institution in one of the Full COST member countries (see the full list below), he or she is eligible to apply for a paid research exchange.

The grantee may use the funding to travel to any Full COST Member, COST Near Neighbour (NNC) or COST International Partner Country, as long as the suggested scientific project is aligned with the overall objectives of the Action and the WGs. Furthermore, any NNC researcher can propose to implement an STSM to any Full COST member country, and, while IPC researchers cannot apply for funding to implement STSMs, they can nonetheless host STSMs implemented by researchers in Full COST member countries.

  • The 40 COST Members are: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, The Netherlands, The Republic of North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.
